I guide big and ambitious end states to life.
As a serial entrepreneur, I have commercialised technology at six Venture Capital (VC) backed start-ups, founded and successfully exited one of the world's leading mobility design innovation firms - Citizen Incorporated (Inc.). Elsewhere, I have held leadership roles that include Founder, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR), Head of Innovation and Futurist.
I currently sit on a number of boards in areas of health and social services where I am able to realise the passion for meaningful (some say - purpose/impact) innovative thinking to the fore.
Throughout my career, I have championed the value of new methods and models of developing revenue-producing leaps in innovation, developing instances of workforce growth utilising highly-skilled technology practitioners within stimulating Innovation Labs and Innovation Centres of Excellence. Notable lab founding or leadership roles include AT&T's Foundry, Nike's Innovation Accelerator, Intel's Experience Foundry, Fahrenheit 212’s SF Factory and +Citizen Lab, which was acquired in 2018 by Ernst & Young (EY).
As a dual-citizen with an Australian soul living between Sydney and Byron Bay, I can often be found cycling or running in the hinterland or surfing the breaks of NSW, where, somewhat conveniently, I believe the very best ideas come.
behind the scenes…
(the fun)
I partner with global industry leaders, the C-suite and start-ups to design and deliver new business concepts, create and scale new ventures, and lead large-scale business ideation, repositioning and transformation agendas.
(the work)
I have a recognised international history of uncovering industry-first opportunities, delivering concept through commercialisation, developing new business models and channels, job creation, developing innovation agendas and industrialising change within large corporates.
(the belief)
I am a staunch proponent of problem-solving with recognition of the EQ and human behavioural insights and then factoring in tech, not the other way around. The same can be said for my philosophy for building high-performance teams.
(the why)
I believe innovation is rooted in the love of your team, their diverse thinking and unbridled ambition to deliver the end state that provides investment outcomes and purposeful meaning to the people and their lives who use the end product.
(the other)
Aside from building sand castles in Australia, I am passionate about the surf, ocean regeneration, survivorship, permaculture, cycling, surfing, climbing, photography, art museums, local art (anywhere), big mountain skiing, triathlons, and most of all - my kids.
